Synopsis

Somewhere in the complex process of evolving our living spaces, cities and roadways, we have become so absorbed in the power of machines, in the pursuits of new techniques of building, so absorbed with new cheaper materials that we have totally neglected our human needs. Our deepest human instincts are violated. Our basic human desires remain unsatisfied. We work from our natural habitat; we have almost forgotten the glow and exuberance of being healthy and feeling fully alive.

Many contemporary ailments, our hypertensions and neurosis are clearly no more than the physical evidence of rebellion against our physical surroundings and frustrations of the widening ways between environment we yearn for and the stiffening artificial which has enveloped us. We are granted the best position when descended upon the earth, by understanding its superlative natural heritage of twinkling mind, by now we should have created a paradise upon this earth for itself.

But what have we done?

We have plundered our own forests ripped our own hills, befouled our rivers until our wildlife, flora and fauna are endangered, our traffic ways are lined with bash commercial hodge podge and ciss cross with senseless congestions, we have built our houses tight row on row with little thought for refreshing foliage, cleanliness, fresh air and sunlight. Our cluttered highways, sprawling roadways, stirring cities offend more often now then they please. We are dragging ourselves to more disturbance and mental agony then providing a better home - something more nearer to nature, more pleasing, relaxing and soothing for mind, body and soul.

The Urban generation has completely forgotten the peace and refreshment that nature brings to life. The ever increasing tensions of urban life and their resultant psychological problems can only be controlled by providing better living environments and to aesthetically, socially and physically improve the conditions of these. The focus must be to make our livings spaces more salubrious and relaxing for our mind body and soul.
